Backstory
The Park Project came from my desire to talk about loss that we all experienced from the COVID-19 pandemic. I wanted to bring the loss into the open, and I thought talking to strangers about some of our most vulnerable moments could help begin the healing.
Approach
I took a mic and some consent papers to the park. I waited until people wanted to sit down and talk with me. I took their responses and made some visual representations of their loss in a virtual gallery. An accompanying gallery book reflects my research and experience.
