Branding and Identity Design
Backstory
The Possibly First Ever Graphic Design Reunion was an event held for all alumni of the Graphic Design Program at the California Institute of the Arts. It was a party to celebrate the program that bonded us, scared us, and ultimately made us the designers we are today.
Approach
In creating the event identity for the Possibly First Ever Graphic Design Reunion at the California Institute of the Arts, the primary goal was to find a tone that resonated with alumni from all graduating years. As part of a small team, I created the posters, invitations, logo, and event signage that contributed to the look and feel of the reunion.
Inside Jokes Outdoors
The branding of the event centered around the deep history of the studio: countless hours of crit, edits, and moving points—all while being surrounded by designers. Inside jokes like the legendary White Rabbit drive of stolen typefaces, the crickets that live in the walls, and the cups of screen printing ink all make an appearance alongside a smattering of drugs.
